I believe my van was in the shop for almost 20 days. When I finally came to pick up my van the rear back window on the driver side was completely gone, and then had been taped over. When I asked about it, I was told they thought that it came in like the off of the tow truck. I had my car towed here last Monday (ladson location).to get the knock sensor replaced. I bought the part and everything. They put it in. I go Tuesday to pick it up and my car starts clanking. They said “oh an acorn fell in there so we have to take it apart and redo everything”. I say ok. So two days go by and I don’t hear anything from them. We were shocked at being charged almost $800 to replace a thermostat, a 2 inch hose and antifreeze - as well as hooking our 2008 truck up to a diagnostic machine!
FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES. Please take your vehicle to a mechanic you know and trust. I went to "Honest" One Auto on Saturday February 1st for a simple synthetic oil change. They tried getting me to do some recommended maintenance at first and I declined (they wanted nearly $500.00 for basic, do it yourself stuff like changing a cabin air filter). There is nothing I hate more than wasting my time. I scheduled a 3pm appointment for an oil change and a TPMS sensor replacement. I arrived 15min early and they said it would take 1-1.5hrs. I went home and waited around. Finally I call at 5:30 to see if they’re done and they said it was finally being looked at. I then got there at 6pm when they close and I see that my car is in the same parking spot that it this was in when I got there. Yep.
